I think there are a few more things than beer to blame.

Youch!

I wonder if North will be allowed to wear the Coopers emblem on their back orifice this would contravene any rules?
I also wonder if this new sponsorship will help up negotiations and help if West Emd are keen to be involved with our great league?
Didn't a conflict arise because od showdowns and the fact one of the AFL clubs the SANFL owns the license for isn't sponsored by West End?

That is correct. The showdown was sponsered by West End. The Adelaide Crows signed with another company, cant remember the name at the moment, but it did create some issues at that period of time.
As for West End well they have a proud history with the league so I dont think there going to be going anywhere, still in this day and age you cant hold it against clubs for getting sponsorship where they can.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Yes it is when North are just apeing what another club is currently doing but I suppose North would be all for sponsorship these days since Rob Gerard is rumoured to be no longer propping up your club and paying the bills out Menzies Cres way.

And as for Centrals...Holden is our major sponsor since 1989...you Roosters supporters remember the last match of that year fondly.

Yes we remember back then prior to the AFL coming into the SA Football landscape, back in the days when Centrals couldn't win a finals match the odd time they used to make them.

And SANFL premierships are so easy to win these days...

As i've said recently, you Roosters supporters are starting to sound more and more like frustrated Sturt and Glenelg supporters as time goes on. That "pre 1991 SANFL premierships are worth more than ones these days" excuse is something i've heard plenty of times from Bays supporters.

If they're so easy to win, why hasn't your club even been close to winning one??? (That includes your effort in the 2007 GF)...

Where did any of the north posters above say they were easier to win now? you are the one that brought up the past. personally i have argued several times on here that the old line "it was harder back whenever" is a load of bollocks.

No. I didn't go to Centrals matches until 1994-95ish and didn't support Centrals fulltime until sometime in 1997...don't worry I have my 1998 and 1999 Centrals season tickets somewhere...

Hey Wedgie, you tried Coopers Vintage Ale lately???

I see, off topic comments are tolerated, so long as you include at least one comment related to the main subject.

So I could say something like... umm, Centrals are winning flags now because they are the best at being average. But back when the SANFL was the highest level comp' in SA they just lacked the class.

Very happy to see another club has signed up with Coopers.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
