Having said that, it's a good ad IMO but it's probably a waste of their resources.

Said with no bias Barto?![]()
That's a very pessimistic and depressing view of their future. With the population in SA forecast to double by 2050 (I recall hearing) I'm sure they can find 10000 new members out of the extra 1000000.
That will take time obviously so, for now, they aren't going to win over anyone who barracks for someone else even if they try to do the "Kangaroos" thing so why even risk the heartland Port people? IMO they have go for their heartland for short term members and then target the kids for the longer term.
I have mates who hate Port whose kids are now Power supporters. I have also got mates who were PAM people whose parents hated Port. Some kids follow their parents and some don't. I did.

I'd be surprised if it made any difference at all after the novelty value of the first few games wears off...devilsadvocate wrote:I think a move to Adelaide Oval in 2014 will see a big surge in interest in the Power and will see better attendances at game.

did you consider that maybe theyre not trying to appeal to North melbourne (or is it Kangaroos ) supporters? BTW how's your wonderful clubs' marketing strategy working?
