in the early to mid 1980's i actually donated $50.00 for their survival when ''they were dying'' then, as i didn't ever wanted the comp to change as to what i knew it was, i didn't like the fact of west torrens & woodville losing their independent identity, but this time around NO, I WONT DONATE, BUY MEMBERSHIPS ETC ETC, because of 1990, they gave their word in victor harbor & backflipped, so from that moment i lost all respect for them (both of them), i still believe the magpies will be around longer than this year as for the power why don't people realise that they are an AFL franchised organization just using the port name & the magpies are the REAL PORT

Elizabeth and Salisbury are located pretty much centrally in the whole Adelaide Plains.
Its not an error.

I thought it was fairly legit to ask... if port want to expand their membership base and strengthen financially it could be a legitimate consideration
For the record i voted 'port adelaide' but only because i like having them as the official enemy. whether or not they make any money (or survive) is someone elses concern

Depends what definition of the Adelaide Plains you use, do a google search and you'll see what I mean as most of them more popular have Elizabeth and Salisbury nowhere near the middle. I can only browse select sites from work but couldn't find one that Elizabeth and Salisbury near the middle.
PS They should have been called the Pirates!
