If that is the case then it's their own fault, if you can't look after and retain your good local & young players then you have no one else to blame but yourself when they up and leave.
Good luck to him i say, hopefully he can make a few dollars and also have the challenge of getting a struggling club off the bottom.

You cant "LOOK AFTER" everyone mate! If clubs have to spend to recruit, which is the case for most of us, someone has to play for nothing or very little. Not saying this particular bloke is doing the wrong thing, but if the better players from each local club move on, we will end up having complete imported teams, is this what we want to see????

This is very interesting. Peglar and Webb were arguably their clubs most valuable players given their youth and '1 point' status. For Strath and Compass to replace them with players of similar quality in the short term it will cost them a stack more than what it would to "LOOK AFTER" them a bit. I think its a crazy situation but if clubs don't "LOOK AFTER" their young talent then the top 4 or 5 players for each club will be imported.

But obviously these clubs are happy enough to have these 0 point young players leave and import 3-4 players and pay them instead - go figure???
