If it was in a more suitable time slot I am sure that more would have attended.

Sir Barry still got there.
Excuses are tools of the weak and incompetent.
Sir Baz and another 500 coaches plus 40 high profile AFL/SANFL/National/International coaches from around Australia managed to attend.

Are they better doing it on a weekend in winter??The weekend after the long weekend -
All should be refreshedLocal clubs doing pre-season / summer camps -
Conference dates are out well before pre-season starts, a good coach wouldn't schedule the camp that weekend if he has an interest in attendingSummer sports coming to a close -
Of the 10 GSFL coaches, how many are committed to summer sport?1st weekend after kids have gone back to school -
Very minor affectI am sure that most clubs would have funded the conference for all their club coaches (J/C, S/C, Res & A-Grade).
Having sat next to Mr Pilmore through a lecture, i can tell you he was working his writing hand off taking notes as Paul Haines (Geelong Fitness Coach) took us through 'Developing a Pre-season training'. If Baz, and AFL coaches can sit in on the lectures, learn and take plenty away from the conference, i'm sure many GSFL coaches would too.
BJ, i am positive you will be doing a bit of wrestling this pre-season!
