But Michael "Redback" Klinger won't be any closer to national selection.Which is a load of Istanbul.

QUOTE
SA selectors did not pick Klinger for the FR CUP opener vrs Tasmania but the prolific batsman had the last laugh
KLINGERS FRANGER CUP SEASON
DNP
0 [1] was not out
29[54]
76[120]
34[29]
25[32]
124[133]
113[123]
51[71]
50[58]
502 runs
621 balls
80-8 strike rate
55-77 average
After that 0 when clearly not out, the run MAXchines lowest score was 25
The run MAXchine finished up running 3rd in the most runs in the FRC
HODGE 608
BAILEY 532
KLINGER 502
Just about every time SA played in a FRC game this year the Foxsports commentators commented on how Klinger was left out of the first game
A great majority of SAFOOTY posters were also critical of the run MAXchine not being selected first up
Who can forget Klingers disbelief at being dropped just b4 the game started
This absolute blunder of blooping blunders cost SA dearly after losing too many early games in the FRC
Well done to the run MAXchine for 3 reasons
1 Most important of all, let his bat do the talking
2 Making me look good on this thread
3 For making most runs as Bayman/Mal backed him for most FRC runs for SA this season
Well batted Maxie
