The fact you think you know more about climate change than climate scientists says it all really. Thankfully people such as yourself on the far-right fringe are an insignificant but noisy minority. I meant that happy NY's wish too, now consider it withdrawn.
I saw Jimmy as losing control and retaliating, due to your persistent misbehaviour, at the time, and so I kept quiet.
However, yes, it was a pity he joined in, and I expect he regrets it.
You, on the other hand do not regret it, and are continuing your pattern...

I am not generally "contemptuous" of people and get along with people from all walks of life quite well, because I treat them with respect.
I get along quite nicely with friends and acquaintances in the Labor Party, even when we have been giving out opposing how to vote cards next to each other.

However, I do hold you in contempt, not for your views but for your manner.
I respect your views and your right to argue for them - just not the way you do it.
I am sure you know what I think you can do with your New Year wishes if you wish to retract them.
That, too, is petulant behaviour...

By the way, I don't think I "know more about climate change than climate scientists".
Climate Science is a new and developing science with few certainties, and there are scientists on both sides of the argument.
But this is not one of those situations where the majority are right - you can't decide what is scientific truth by a majority vote.

It requires years of research and examining all possibilities and views, then testing your theories against continuing data.

Just a short note regarding Psyber in the context of some posts in this thread.

I have never met Psyber but have found his posts insightful and generally well researched and enjoy the banter with him. Whilst I don't always agree with his comments, to my knowledge he has always been tolerant and respectful of others and always directs his comments to the issue at hand and not the individual.

It's a shame what has transpired in some posts in this thread ...

Particularly what the thread is supposed to be about. I think in here there are a few "unpleasant surprises".

One day when I was living in Darwin I found a wallet on my a morning walk with my girl. Opened it, a couple of hundred in cash.

The bloke lived just around the corner from me.

Saw a couple of unusual bits of paper...curiosity got the better of me. They were two subpoenas for assault.

I pocketed the money and chucked all his other stuff down a very large Darwin drain during the wet season.

I no longer have a perfect record.

Of course you did. That's half your problem, you only see what you want to see. For the record Jimmy was accusing me of being Jill Bottrall (Rann's PR flunky) from the very moment I ever appeared in the "politics" thread and on numerous occasions but did I ever whinge about it? No I gave a bit back because it was frankly pretty harmless stuff. Then of course Jimmy starts crying abuse for being called a right-winger. Again I don't remember hearing too much out of you when I was called a d__khead? Again harmless stuff but now you're all up in arms about being called a flat-earther.

It's been pretty clear to me in recent times you just like to try get a rise & a reaction out of people so on this topic I won't be taking anymore bait.

Gozu and Psyber either agree to disagree and move on or take your political handbags into the Politics forum and slug it out in there but stop spoiling other's threads in here with whatever childish, personal feud you seem to have going.
