I saw Jimmy as losing control and retaliating, due to your persistent misbehaviour, at the time, and so I kept quiet.Gozu wrote: Funny I don't remember hearing too much out of you when Jimmy was "abusing" me? You're appalled by my poor manners? The old Ian Plimer defence, obfuscation. Turn it up. You're a contemptous individual Psyber and have your nose out of joint because someone bothered pulling you up on your arrogance & extreme beliefs. The fact you think you know more about climate change than climate scientists says it all really. Thankfully people such as yourself on the far-right fringe are an insignificant but noisy minority. I meant that happy NY's wish too, now consider it withdrawn.
However, yes, it was a pity he joined in, and I expect he regrets it.
You, on the other hand do not regret it, and are continuing your pattern...
I am not generally "contemptuous" of people and get along with people from all walks of life quite well, because I treat them with respect.
I get along quite nicely with friends and acquaintances in the Labor Party, even when we have been giving out opposing how to vote cards next to each other.
However, I do hold you in contempt, not for your views but for your manner.
I respect your views and your right to argue for them - just not the way you do it.
I am sure you know what I think you can do with your New Year wishes if you wish to retract them.
That, too, is petulant behaviour...
By the way, I don't think I "know more about climate change than climate scientists".
Climate Science is a new and developing science with few certainties, and there are scientists on both sides of the argument.
But this is not one of those situations where the majority are right - you can't decide what is scientific truth by a majority vote.
[Or by shouting down opponents as in politics.]
It requires years of research and examining all possibilities and views, then testing your theories against continuing data.
