I would disagree with that MT79. Plenty of unions are getting significant wins for employees of recent times.

agree to disagree but with the way they have handled an issue which involves myself, the union and a previous employer, the union are useless.

maybe im in the wrong union, but at this moment they dont appear to have any balls about them

My brothers English Mastiff.

Im looking after him and he barks way too much. And I know he's got nothing to bark at coz my staffy is usually crashed out the whole time. He'd be going nuts if there was something to bark at..

If he is in a strange environment, there are new sounds, new smells, and they all need barking into submission...
When he goes home he'll have to re-establish himself there, so your brother will suffer too.

i hate barking dogs in general, the next door neighbor has some kind of hound and it has this really raspy old sounding bark, drives me nuts. Yogi, my Akita, only makes noise when the front gate opens, pretty much to let me know someone is here and generally only one or two short barks and in the morning when he wants to go out for a wizz, but that's more of a yawn/howl... great dog!
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Applying for jobs (and getting in before the applications close), and then being told the position has already been filled two days later, even though they would hardly had a chance to look at all the applications and arrange interviews.
Is it legal to fill a position before applications close, or can employers do what they want?

Happens in government where they are legally obliged to advertise roles externally even if they don't really need to.
