Will be pinned up in the changerooms of the Mitchell Park lads for the first game against Kenilworth. Quite a few Parky lads will be looking forward to that battle.

There we go, that should spice things up a bit....

I can't see any problem with that, you were in a lower division than them at the time and you are the closest club to them, it would make sense. If you need literature to motivate you to perform at your optimum level you are already behind the 8-ball, the Plympton/ Rosewater thing is a different kettle of fish though.
Yeah, yeah, just poking a bit of fun at our cross town rivals to spice up the forums a bit. I think the person was insinuating that the Mitchell Park FC is less committed to the cause or slack on the training track. Fail to see how considering the beating we gave them in the trial during last years pre-season.

We all know how wonderful Kenilworth are, with all their recent success and all...

Probably just less disciplined on the field maybe..... ??
In terms of giving away free kicks? Sure. We give away far too many 25m penalties in particular.

I am only assuming thats what you meant, as anyone who read Issue 55 of this year’s SAAFL news would realise that Mitchell Park are nowhere near as bad as the purported “thug” myth that surrounds them.

Teams with worse disciple records (exceeded league average for reports and suspensions) over the past 5 years than Mitchell Park;

Brahma Lodge
Eastern Park
Rosewater
Salisbury West
Smithfield

I ponder if someone posted on these forums with one of these clubs in their avatar if you would say the same thing? But I think we both know the answer to that ... ;)

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Too true. Scooter has girth everywhere where it doesn't count. Good bloke though, does a hell of a lot around the club and did a wonderful job coaching the B's a couple of years back. Hopefully he gets back into it this year.

This discussion is going nowhere, any further discussion shall now go in the Div. 6 2010 thread.

Sorry boys... the Ingle Farm chat has been redirected to this thread as you can see. Fair enough too I reckon, although I did enjoy the lively discussion.

Just to finish off the old thread….

Observer- sometimes the view from afar is much clearer than those looking too near…. ;)

Old fullback- spot on from what I’ve heard

Miaculous and gadg- Hectorville and IF (apples and oranges).

It certainly was an interesting read on the ingle farm thread. Id just like to add that IMO Ingle Farm made the worst decision getting rid of Chris Kellet a few years ago. Ever since his departure the club has been in a downward spiral - might be just a coincidence but i seriously doubt it. Seems the committee members have some explaining to do.

Will the 2 sides that have come down a division from this year be stronger in 2010?? One would think they would need to be to be competitive with the top 3 sides. I think it has been proven in the last couple of years that the sides that have gone up from div 6 will be very competitive at the top end of division 5

The boys have been out there for the last month. just ball skills for now to keep in touch. very exciting at the club at the moment with things looking positive for next year. a few of the midfielders extremed the weather down at semaphore and were running the dreaded snakepit for an hour. dont under estimate the raiders next year like alot of people already have on here. we might surprise ya come round 1 with a few new faces and some faces ya might already know from the past :D

I will be very interested to see how the raiders go next year. You will certainly need some more improvement to be in the hunt in div 6...but its a good sign to see so many of the boys getting out on the training track so early in the pre season.
