Well done redbacks. I find the Pattinson/McKay thing ridiculous. You cant replace an injured player during a match so why should this be any different.

because this is cricket australia pulling him out half way through a game - noones fault involved in this game and a sensible decision in my opinion

Happens at all levels of cricket.
Players getting a call up to SA can be replaced in grade cricket.
Don't see what the drama is.

Bailey notches his 50, fine effort for the bloke, need him to hang around for as long as possible

No drama for mine either. Its because the higher level have made a change, that reflects the lower level of cricket.

Wouldnt be fair to have Victoria a player short because an aussie player had been injured...

Fair point. I just dont think it is fair to bring in someone who was not in the 12 man squad originally. If he was the 12th man then I dont have a problem with it but he wasnt. Anyway it isnt helping them so thats a good thing.

Great to see him improve so much since the first time I saw him bat. Barely knew which end of the bat to hold. Now if only he could just improve his bowling a bit and he could be a genuine all-rounder.

Its also not fair for Victoria to lose a strike bowler and miss a possible outright win
Also if the 12th man is a batsman and he was included to take over from a bowler its also not fair

Bloods theres no perfect solution, but I do see where your at with your argument

Agreed, harris has just notched up his ton also, brilliant partnership under pressure, we should be able to salvage a draw now.

Who do you put as man of the match if harris bats all the way through? look at the attack hodge faced in comparison to harris, if harris makes 150+* id have him as man of match

not kidding actually, it will be a draw, and considering this is a blatant batting wicket, 100's were expected, now who scored the better hundred, hodge, whom is a test level player against a district attack almost, or harris, who against the odds of an innings defeat, against a more experienced attack, you decide?
