However, as Fev has created himself a media persona and put himself in the public spotlight...I'm sure I'm entitled to have an opinion on that persona (remember that Fev is part of the media you derided in your post Jabber). Fev creates his own strife - it's not the media who makes him p*ss in public, or start fights in Irish pubs when he's representing our country.
As I said above, if he'd been there just as Joe Footballer, having an end of season p*ss up, I'd have had no problem with his actions on this occasion. It's all fun and games.
He was there, however, as a paid employee of Channel Nine and if I turned up at my local footy league's presentation night got pi*sed and then made a d*ck of myself when I was supposed to be doing my job, then I'm pretty sure I'd be looking for a new job.

Crap. He was there first and foremost as a representative of the Carlton football Club. They've dealt with the issue. Bring on Season 2010.

He got pissed, tipped a waiter very well and hurt no-one. What exactly is the problem?

Having a personality seems to be the problem nowadays. Too sanitised the public has become IMHO.

Yeah thats all true, but perhaps hes building the fwit persona to ensure a nice media deal as the all round fwit when he stops playing. Worth a thought.
