Eagles first half and lack of coaching moves was awful .
BUT that is where the Eagles deserved to be at the end of the year fourth. Not bad in a rebuilding year.
Fuller era over bring on the new Era next year

Eagles the better team? How did Sturt end up winning?
Listening to the call on the radio I thought Sturt had the better of it through the course of the day, but I 'd be interested to hear from people who actually saw the match. Especially in light of what Micky has written on here.
Typo perhaps?

That'd be a typo.

No chance of a heated debate then?

Well, ok, it was a tale of two halves, however our 2nd half didn't match your 1st half.

My thoughts also.
Great spirit shown by your team today though. They never gave up did they? Siren brought relief for me, it was really looking dangerous for us. If we lost after holding such a commanding lead I'd need a psychiatrist to get me through the off season.
Finally it was a very honorable loss to you guys, and a lucky win for us IMO. Fortunately we did enough in this first half.

Can't argue with that at all, you would have been impressed when the Double Blues were running all over the ground, particularly in the first.
Then I think we were able to apply more pressure, and that started late in the 2nd. When struck me though, is that our players had to fight hard for every goal, where as it was the opposite in the first quarter for Sturt. Save for a great goal from Cica in that quarter, and it would have been donuts.

What you talkin'bout Willis?
Geez if I said that last week about Sturt, I would have been lynched.
Eagles were smashed in the first half.
Eagles battled and were better than us in the third.
Eagles were better than us in the last 10 mins, but not earlier, in the last.
Overall, half a footy match by us got us the win. It was a good win from the perspective that we needed to salvage something after last weeks demoralising loss, but overall it wasn't a great game from Sturt.
