1. Umpires need to be protected and shown more respect, I agree with all the letters in the local paper today about coaches using the comments to bag umpires. Without umpires we wouldnt have a game. Take the good with the bad. My wife plays netball and was disgusted at the boston netball club's coaches comments last week and I read today that the boston president and vice president want nothing to do with the stupid comments. Leave umpires alone.
2. The mail medal so called 'leak' is total bullshit, the winner was always going to come from waybacks or mallee park purely for the amount of games they won during the season. Someone has had a 50/50 stab that it was from waybacks and they got it correct and spread the rumour.

Congratulations to Keatley for winning the medal

1. agree that umpires do need to be respected more. but also i think the netball game between the 2 top teams should of had the 2 top umpires or at the very least 1 of them. In any game footy, netty ect if the umps cant keep up with the play its just not good enough. If it takes a public comment to make a point and lift the standard of a game of A grade sport than it should be done.

2. agree

Can we put this netball drama to rest.
SANA rules state that no umpire with an affiliation with a club can umpire that club. In other words they must be neutral. The "best" did have an affiliation with a particular club so therefore could not umpire them. Hence the next best were allotted. End of story. Imagine the outcry if an umpire was umpiring a game in which her club was playing and she was the president or secretary of that club or had a daughter playing. It would be open slather for calls of bias, cheating etc. Should not happen and doesn't. All rules were followed.
The local association gets Adelaide umpires over for certain finals games, which does not include that particular game. A local rule which was also followed.

Netball have always been stuck-up ****** MP. Just look at how they will not negotiate with any football and won't let us use the toilets during cricket season. Let them rot down at ravendebt and lets continue to make out they don't exsist.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

On an unrelated matter, when this post was made, I was with Brock Jantke. We were nowhere near a computer/phone/internet capable device.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind CU effing off...

Now, congratulations to the following medal recipients at tonight's junior count:

Under 13:
Alfredo Cabada (WFC) Winner
Jake Nicholls (BFC) Runner up
Blake Montgomerie (BFC) Leading goal kicker
Under 15:
James Lakin (LSFC) Winner
William Roderick (MPFC) Runner up
Cameron Tabe (LSFC) Leading goal kicker
Under 17:
Brayden Traeger and Mitchell Hall (Both LSFC) tied winners
Michael Harders (WFC) and James Blewitt (MPFC) tied runners up
Rhys Jackamarra (MPFC) leading goal kicker

Great season by all the young lads.

PS- One issue from the night. Thank you to the people (MRFC and BFC) who took issue politely and with manners, but to those who spoke aggressively, used profanity, and failed to set an example for the young footballers present, expect letters and confrontation on your terms (that is agressive and profane) in the near future.

PPS- If you're all so fantastic, please nominate for my position (Assistant Secretary) at the AGM and do the effing job yourselves.

On this weekend's games. The way I read W v MR is that if they both play to their ability, waybacks win cos they have more "beter players". But they will need to gel and not do what they did last week or MR will be all over them, of which they are very capable of doing. Heart says Rangers but brain says Waybacks. (Hope they call me brainless on sat night). Nevertheless I will have a schooner on the match with you BTB

Won't be there as will be watching offspring no. 1 play in his GF in the Mallee.

I rekn Ramblers will get over Tumby in the big one for GFFL. I hear Pedler was awesome last week and any repeat of that with the assistance of his teammates could see the upset occur. There is also a Fitzy factor which I think will come to the fore and stir them on to victory. The heart does a lot of things and winning football matches is one of them.

My mate at ramblers said they have a couple of sore boys who will play but be not 100%. I think they will be brave but they can't match Tumby over the duration of the game. Tumby by 4 or 5 goals with Sam Read kicking 5 and BOG.
