Pac-Man wrote:Times are tough at the Pac Man house at the moment. I would love to watch my beloved Tigers touch up Willaston this weekend, but by the time you pay $5 in petrol ( coming from Gawler West ) the $6 gate fee, there is $11 i just dont have to spend before i even get out the car.

The cheque i received from Kevin Rudd did help and i did my bit for the country, it lasted about 12 hours at the Kingsford Hotel. Was able to stimulate the TAB and do my bit for the economy. It was 2 min noodles again for the misses and rug rat , luckily Bi Lo still had her favourite Chicken and Corn flavour.

The recesion has taken it toll on most people Skipper, thats why crowds are down , simple as that.

$50 if a streak across the oval to the netball courts might be up your alley.

It won't be a game to miss, i'm hearing the donnys might get a boost this week with Matt Cotton to be dusted off and thrown up forward to rattle a few tiger cages this week. Be worth the entry fee just to see who lines up on the legendary goal shark.

Any truth to this daysof?

Is $6 really an issue in Gawler?, It is half a packet of cigarettes.
Dust off Cotton? that would take a lot of dusting.
If daysofourlives doesn't respond try Dr.Pink, I think they are close, very close.

Im with you, i could easily sit at home and maybe watch a competitive game of footy rather than the one sided game that will be on show at the showgrounds.

I think your right swooper with your formula for working out player payments. I know for a fact we are around 30-50k for the year, which does equate to half of what people think.

Here is the problem WEC, you and Pac Man can't be bothered going so once again the crowd is going to be down, a couple of very loyal supporters, somehow I do think you will be there WEC. Pac Man thats why Ruddy gave you a couple of cheques so you could go and support your local community.

Agree with you and Swoop on player payments, they are vastly exagerated as they do the Chinese whispers around the rumour mill.

Care to enlighten me why i would be there Skipper. I dont know who you think i am but i have stayed home on numerous occasions this year when us winning was a foregone conclusion.
Kingy to have a day out and kick 6 and the tough, courageous captain to repell the willaston attacks with ease. A win by at least 12 goals IMHO

Round 16

Gawler Central vs Willaston : be a lot closer than last time but reckon the tigers will be too strong...
Angaston vs Barossa District : doggies are struggling at the moment, ango will win comfortably...
South Gawler vs Kapunda : south are playing a lot better footy now, last time kapunda got up but south are a different side...
Freeling vs Tanunda : was gonna go with freeling to make it wins to all home teams but then i realised it was freeling...

i doubt cotton would be under consideration but who knows what rabbit seelander will pull out of the hat. i think there might be a few injury concerns so anythings possible i guess. id imagine cots would want to play what ever grade frackowski is playing. odds would be about 1000/1 on fracka actually playing against his former club.

Hope Willaston wind back the clock and if down at three qtr time go the knuckle. A few broken jaws would upset Centrals finals hopes.

The mighty Bombers to have a win against south.

The Dogs and Pies also to take the points.

totally agree ablett, WAC has a fair bit of arrogance about him, mmm i wonder if that comes from his small man syndrome ;)
 who is the tough courageous captain Wac, i thought wozniak was the captain?
think the donnys will pull out all stops to keep their season alive and will get up in a close one, bakes to bring his own footy
tanunda and ango to have easy wins 10 goal plus and kapunda to beat south comfortably 5 or 6 goals

Angaston 12gls : the dogs would like to forfiet but roger james has urged them to go on.
Kapunda 3gls : 1 more nail in the coffin for herzick
Tanunda 20gls : the poor old leggies

Why would Cotton want to play whatever grade Frackowski is, Daysofourlives?

Frackowski played the last three years against the former club but really he would find it hard when he tore a knee ligament otherwise he would of loved too play against Willaston!

Why dont you head back to Angaston, but first i will organise a road train escort for you to get back there along with a truckload of pies for the trip.

Perhaps its called supporting your local side you dimwit, obviously something you don't know how to do. You choose not to go when you think that you will win so does that mean you go when you think you are going to lose. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you go to watch your side to win. With crowds down in Gawler it is obviously dimwits like you letting your club down. I wouldn't have a clue who you are and I don't want to know, you are setting yourself up for a big fall come finals time.

To any of the sensible scribes in Gawler, whats this story behind the council decision to charge a rather a large rental fee to the 3 clubs and how much are we talking?

Is he still know good Bag ? He did that knee against us 10 weeks ago.Im sure he will be back playing finals

Bova, will he train this week and play A grade or play res again and kick another bag and star in a lower grade than he should be playing?

I also hear that Angaston have about 6 players back this week. One of them being Bascan [spelling] I am led to beleive he hasn't played for a while , can any one tell me more? Knowing my luck he will come back through the twos .
Back to the creek it is.

No need for name calling skip. Times are tough at the moment skip which means i need to be selective when i go. So i choose to go when i think i will see a good competitive game of football and i need to budget for the upcoming finals series.
I guess if you dont aim very high you havnt got far to fall have you skip?

I know Fracka still has alot of mates at Willaston and is actually really good mates with Matt Cotton and really good chance Cotton and Frackowski will be out drinking Friday night before the big game! So again he asks, why Cotton would want to play against Frackowski?

And why dont you ask Peter Argent on anything you like about The Barracker? The Barracker nothing to do with Fracka as he is just doing one match of A Grade a week!

If it's the same matt cotton i know he would struggle moving outside the 50m arc let alone chasing a little rabbit like fracka!!! Daysof i think seelander would want to look at a totally different option then Matt Cotton to raffle some feathers!!!! I also think willaston would have to improve sharply on the first time these teams meet to even give a contest!!! Time will tell i guess...

Understandable that the Fracka trade is still being discussed after all this time,
It was a blockbuster????
How long did it take Willaston to eat the packet of lifesavers they got for him?
I thought he was a full time netball reporter now anyway or have I got the wrong 'man'.
Good to see a bit of passion on this site, finals must be approaching.
Gawler to ease away from Willaston after a close first 2 and a half quarters.
Kapunda V South = Draw.
Angaston to begin gathering momentum, but it wont be a fast start, 4-7 goals.
Tanunda by 24 goals.
As for Willaston going head-hunting if they are losing...Wouldn't think that Ollie would
allow it, not his style, he would be more about fine tuning for 2010.
