Realistically this game should be over at lunch today
A wicket in the first 15 overs and its all over
To win the REBmen need to make at least
CLARKE 200
HADDIN 150
C'mon MAL we're not talking about MALwood here mate ... close enough isn't good enough!![]()
The rest is a fair assessment ... our hopes will be shattered by a quick wicket.

Did the controversies change the match? Best answer is that we'll never know, but I suspect the result wouldn't have been much different.
Considering how both teams played during the Test a Pommy win by 100 odd runs is a fair result (even though I don't like it!)

Most should know that. What they do in celebration in the heat of the moment shouldn't be used as a character judgement.
That said, I still feel an over-powering urge to knee-cap Freddy Flintoff.
Jealousy is a deadly sin.

Now heres a QUESTION for the experts
Did those decisions in the AU 2nd dig on day 4 impact on this game ??????????????
SCARDY CAT, KAT, HUSS were all robbed
But in the end AU did get to stumps at 5/313 odd
5/313 odd as as good as you would expect to be at stumps on a day 4 pitch ??????????

What cost us in this test match was our really poor bowling in the first innings and our inability to put a good score on the board on a very good wicket. Not the umpires.

He is rising to the occasion on Test crickets biggest stage so is entitled to celebrate how he wants. Dare say this showmanship also gets the crowd and his teammates pretty pumped and creates more pressure for the Australian batsmen. Warney used to act in a similar way and we loved him for it. If freddy was bowling pies and going for 1/100 etc then i dare say he would be a little more subdued.
