Good on Freddy i say..!!

He is rising to the occasion on Test crickets biggest stage so is entitled to celebrate how he wants. Dare say this showmanship also gets the crowd and his teammates pretty pumped and creates more pressure for the Australian batsmen. Warney used to act in a similar way and we loved him for it. If freddy was bowling pies and going for 1/100 etc then i dare say he would be a little more subdued.

Realistically this game should be over at lunch today
A wicket in the first 15 overs and its all over
To win the REBmen need to make at least
CLARKE 200
HADDIN 150

C'mon MAL we're not talking about MALwood here mate ... close enough isn't good enough! ;)

The rest is a fair assessment ... our hopes will be shattered by a quick wicket.

At times the REBS/AMBAYS/RODROOSTERS/AHAWKS are very good cricket predicters
But they acknowledge[ALTHOUGH NEVER ADMIT IT] that I am the best at predicting the future

Now read my prediction above
But I wont take any great accoladical credit for the above NotraMALdamustical prediction
I do consider this one a blind FREDDY prediction

QUESTION
Now heres a QUESTION for the experts
Did those decisions in the AU 2nd dig on day 4 impact on this game ??????????????
SCARDY CAT, KAT, HUSS were all robbed
But in the end AU did get to stumps at 5/313 odd
5/313 odd as as good as you would expect to be at stumps on a day 4 pitch ??????????

I am not worthy in your presence ... ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^

Did the controversies change the match? Best answer is that we'll never know, but I suspect the result wouldn't have been much different.

Considering how both teams played during the Test a Pommy win by 100 odd runs is a fair result (even though I don't like it!) ;)

The piddly first innings total is what cost the match, nothing to do with the dodgy decisions in my book. Human error in officiating is part of every sport, to blame results on it is a has always been a bit of a cop out for me.

i think for the 3rd test if fit and can bowl at 100%,watson will have to replace north and bat in his spot,if not fit must go home (same with lee also if not fit-home)and there for mcdonald to come in bat at 7 move haddin to 6.

Most should know that. What they do in celebration in the heat of the moment shouldn't be used as a character judgement.

That said, I still feel an over-powering urge to knee-cap Freddy Flintoff.

What cost us in this test match was our really poor bowling in the first innings and our inability to put a good score on the board on a very good wicket. Not the umpires.

Agreed.
You can't control the umpires but you can control your own performance.

Our bowling was poor in the first innings and they got what i would consider a par score for the pitch in the first innings, i think this is where our biggest improvement can come out of this game. If we bowl well we will win comfortably IMO. Our batting in the first innings really let us down and another 50-100 would've changed the game completely. The umpiring decisions had an impact as to make the game quicker i don't think it changed the outcome of the game.

Vaughn is a cheat. If Punter claimed a catch like that he'd be torn a new one.

I never really liked WG Grace if we're delving into the history books.

Why weve only just seen Warnie

He missed the first Test as he has spent the week blazing a trail at the prestigious World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas, where his renowned attributes of spin, showmanship, bluffing and opponent-reading have been standing him in impressive, and lucrative, stead. On July 8, just as Cardiff was becoming the 100th Test venue in the world, Warne was celebrating his progression to Friday's day three of the WSOP, as one of 607 survivors from his half of the second-day draw, and one of 2044 overall.
