Strewth didnt know that ... One of these days they might allow a change that benefits the bowlers??
Believe they are still allow to Mankad them providing the bowler is not yet into his delivery stride? See it all the time these days, esp in one day cricket, but rarely moving as early as Cook was.
Also, think they allow batsmen to do it because of the video replays where it was felt batsmen were disadvatantaged by being given out by the bare margins, especially in ODI's.
flying high- your obviously a top class park cricketer. havnt been able to mankad for a few years and that is the sole reason batsman leave their crease well b4 the ball is bowled. got nothing to do with replays genious!!! bet your a 20/20 fan and never been to a day of test cricket in your life?

Ponting - a captain who has been continuously questioned about his ability but is a stubborn fighter (Border).
Siddle - a big hearted Victorian fast bowler (Hughes).
Hilfenhaus - a swing bowler (Alderman).
Haddin - a wicketkeeper barely established in the side whose technique has been regularly questioned (Healy).
Hauritz - a spinner, given no regard by fans in Australia and not known in England (Hohns).
Waugh - whose spot in the middle order was questionable.
Just a thought.
