Prouseys football brain works just fine. The honest truth is that the club probably has about a dozen bonafide A grade players at the moment, and a few kids in progress. The top 8 are probably as good as anybodys, but our depth from there is definetely at the lower end of the comp, which makes all the difference. He doesn't have the cattle, yet. The club will work to improve this from within, I can think of at least 6 Senior colts players who will add to the depth next year. Then obviously we need a couple of well selected recruits from outside.

Kart Horse, I think you might be putting the horse before the Kart here. Nice try, but thats a negative on that one

ive heard prouse doens't know much about the football caper, and for the team to progress they need to appoint a more astute football brain to take the reigns.

You heard wrong Prouse is a great coach who is also very good around the club, Freeling will get there under Prouse.

$4.55 - Shane Broad - Will the club go for a younger variaty of coach, has had successfully coached at A-Grade level and may be an appointment with a long term vision.
$5.20 - Rian Nelson - Lions may want to go for a seasoned BL&G coach if he parts company with the pups.
$6.25 - Matt Hermann - Seems to have his lobists backing from his Gawler Central contingency, although they can be very easily impressed.
$6.50 - Malcolm McGrath - Would the Mesiah be prepared to dust off the coaching board and bring the club back to their glory days.

i was speaking to the mastermind himself and he said he had had no contact at all from south ;)
i doubt SJ's resume would still be on the table and i dont think they will be seeking him out, didnt he sign a 3yr deal at maccy?
scott lee ( $8.00)would have to be a chance as well his daughter plays netball there and what about malcolm greenwood($10.00), he was close to taking on the kapunda job this year

just putting it out there, if prousey wasnt coaching there next year and given that BB's career appears just about over would they look at him. i know he has very close ties to freeling with his brother in law very close to the scene here

Drifter Just asking the question, good to see both you & Skip rallying behind him he is a great bloke, Days just wondering what you know about Skip & Prouse's relationship?

To me it would appear that there will two jobs up at the ens of the season, South & Bar. Noticed with some interest that Occa was hanging around the Bar v Tan game on the weekend.

think your right there swooper, i would imagine nelson would be feeling the knives in his back from ocker right now, but the lack of funds down that way may see nelson hang onto the job IMO

also i think given skips quotes lately he is on very good terms with himself

What are you suggesting here Days? but for once you are right about one thing I'm close to Prousey but I don't know about VERY VERY. If you are suggesting that I may well be the man himself, think again (it may hurt), I think you will see by my posts from last season that I had nothing to do with him when he was at Kapunda, but of course you always know best don't you.

I noticed you havent bothered to distance yourself from the betting for the South job. Was that a 3 year or 3/4 year deal you signed this year ? :D

Yeah, fair call days, 8 is probably stretching it, although I would probably add Kemp to that list. Next year we will also have a fit Parish, now he has finally had his ankle done which has hobbled him for the last 2 years. The 2nd tier of Heinrich, B. Muster,Wright, Barry, Leinert, Thatcher, Mc Millan, Haseldine and Cocks are starting to find ways of having an impact in a less dominant side, although not for whole games yet. By the way who would you say were in your top 8?

wasnt saying 8 was stretching it i was just wondering who u thought were the 8. parish will be handy next year. the 2nd teir u have mentioned, especially heinrich, muster and wright do u think they are better players now than when the 1st come on the scene? they seem to have stagnated a bit over the last couple years. cocks shows plenty of promise, very lightweight though.
cant seperate baker, baker, norsworthy, cole, walton, r. rosewell, childs, casey, treloar, nottle, carter, harvey, bornholdt, whiston, parsloe, woods-very even contribution acrooss the board. how sthat for fence sitting hey :D :D

Kick it to your mom,
are you a fair dinkum South supporter ? I only know of a couple down my way :D There is a bit going on, hope to have something to say by seasons end. Definetely some promise there. As for the 24-28 year olds, or even a couple of experienced 30 year olds, the right type can be hard to find. Most of the good ones are pretty settled. I heard the other day that throuigh a lack of numbers, Freelings Under 17's went into recess 10 to 12 years ago for 3 years. that probably explains the large gap in that age group now. The one good thing about a bunch of 20-22 year olds is that there best football should still be in front of them. It just takes a little longer
