Unsure of quality yet, haven't really had a good look a what the general quality of Azuma boots are normally like. Can't really go wrong with a pair of boots for $130 including express post delivery, even if i have to sit them on the mantle piece or put them on show in the clubs cabinet. The sales manager tells me they normally sell for around $220 and they were being promoted to AFL players for Indigenous round with the Aboriginal Flag on them so hopefully they're not too bad!

I would be a bit wary if I was you Damian about the boots as they look to be fakes. 'Azuma' is not a bad brand, 'Azumah' on the other hand I have never heard of.

An absolute knob head at Compass yesterday dedcided to 'burn off' trees before, during and after the footy/netball sending thick smoke accross the complex all day. It was a bloody tough day for asthmatics by all reports, why would someone be so stupid? Take your smoke masks to the mount because it sounds like it will be happening every home game due to a dispute with the neighbour.

On a positive compass oval was an absolute treat to play on and although we had some players out, the magpies snuck in by 3 points!!!!!

was at this game spectating and the smoke was terrible. Was bad enough from the side lines let alone playing. Who was standing number 20 for compass LF? reckon he would have had 40 posessions. Think Goolwa got over theline in the end just but still have a lot of work to do to match it with victor this week.

I have no idea why they have azumah on the boots, i am thinking it may be the name of this particular boot as all emails and contact details are for azuma international. The original email has come from a very reliable source in the AFL so i would be suprised but you never know. Will hopefully know in a few days once delivered.

Well I had 3 opponents and i think they were all in best so was it me? I dont know who wore number 20, i think it may have been Burdett. If it was then I would say that no one was on him. Typical midfielders they never bloody man up!!!

20 was Burdett, very suprised not to see him in the best for Compass...Maybe leaving him out to give other teams a false sense that he is out of form and doesn't need taggin??? I suggest he should be tightly followed every week!!! It was easily GPE worst performance thus far and it was still enough to get over the line, that alone is a boost for the lads, hopefully can get back to the form they showed on ANZAC day for the next 3 weeks.

Was this smoke blowing from behind the playground on top of the hill, funny feeling the Compass treasurer might know something about this..... as it was coming from his own backyard [-x

Leigh Hirst's knee?
That looked serious. Torn ACL is the apparent diagnosis. Out for the season. Just when the young fella was finding some form too.

He was dominating the game, disappointing for the Magpies. Can they cover the loss?

Round 5 May 9th
McLaren V Myponga/Sellicks
Langhorne Ck V Mt Compass
Goolwa V Victor Harbor
Encounter Bay V Strathalbyn
Willunga V Yankalilla

Tough one to pick, both sides have had their moments but Mclaren Vale for me. Could go either way.
Gotta go with Langhorne. Will be too big for Compass and will start to gel with their new recruits settling in.
Victor for me, there top 4-5 players are as good as any in the comp and will trouble all sides. In saying that it will be a battle of the midfields with whoevers midfield gets on top winning as both defences are undersized against the big forward lines!
Strath should take this one comfortably, especially on the big E Bay oval where the speed should be too much.
Willunga to win, when playing Yank you always know youve played a game, there a hard physical team but we should get back to playing the way we want to after straying from the plan last week!

The season is shaping as open as its been for a long, long time.
