I hope Parnell comes in. I reckon the Aussies would destroy him with his inexpereince much like Langer destroyed Makhya Ntini back in 2001/2002(??).

Albie is a proven talent, although what's his test record?

Albie hasnt played a test. In FC he averages 41 with the bat and 29 with the ball

Anyone with red hair is generally doomed to fail.

There are a few exceptions to this rule but in general it applies!

Honestly, if morkel comes into replace his brother IMO that weakens there bowling a great deal, but helps there batting. Albie does not bowl that well IMO. Prine and Khan coming in is a massive loss and IMO i thought they would have stayed with McKenzie due to smith's injury. i thought that woulda saved them. but making two changes to the opening position may well prove to be a big f*** up or a great move...
I cant see the aussies losing this test now. Would like to see Hauritz play if there going to mkae any changes

How is Prince coming in for McKenzie a massive loss?

Your right about the Morkel brothers but dont be surprised if Parnell plays instead of Albie, they are currently going head to head in a first class match so lets wait and see what happens there.

im more thinking khan for mckenzie and prince was in for smith. so prince was always in once the injury occured. I just thinking taking 3 blokes out of a side in one hit, from a side that has not had many changes for a fair while could hut em. McKenzie could add the experience as an opener alongside Prince, but thats IMO, just see how it goes i guess. and i think Parnell will be more dangerous in the longer format then albie jus albie has the potential to score some runs.

Oh ok point taken although i would be looking at Khan for Smith given that he wont retain his spot when he comes back but Prince should.

For those interested in the South Africans current form in their first class matches.

Prince is unbeaten on 171* against an attack that consists both Morkel brothers and Paul Harris. Morne has been very tight and has 1/43 from 19 but his brother has been pretty expensive with 0/73 from 17. Parnell is playing for the other side so has his chance to really push his case given Albies poor spell.

Mckenzies poor form continued in another game making only 4.

Well said booney, no doubt selectors would say that, im assuming Prince opened in this game??

M. Hussey fails again, ASHES spot gone and D.Hussey to take it maybe?? He is unbeaten on 100 odd now in the shield Final, and look at what Hughes and Siddle have received after a dominant final the year before...

What do others think?

I personally do not think he is up to Test Standard. I think Mike Hussey should stay in the side regardless of this test and if by chance the selectors do prematurely wield the axe i would rather see Ferguson or another younger player enter the side.

Agree Pup. M. Hussey should stay but when a spot opens up it should go to a player like Ferg.
