Geez I eye balled the big fella last night for the first time and hes no Sam Irish, looks probably the same build as Broady. Perhaps his pie days are over??
Ok enoughs enough from the Swamp, clearly Thommo isnt buying in to all the 'pie' jokes as I had expected him to, so its not quite having the effect I was hoping. Surely he's on here somewhere though given his job!!
Jokes aside, Daniel Thomas is a gun and will be super tough to stop in our league with the quality of HWE midfielders feeding him. He'll be great with the young blokes if he gets invloved with the Juniors and stuff. I'll pay that Ace, he's not overweight rather just built like the preverbial sh*thouse and will be almost unstoppable 1 on 1. Not quite sure about the Broady comparison though. Wasnt totally dominant in the Barossa but will be pretty close to it over here. He's my early tip for the Leading Goalkicker this season.
PS welcome Jack, where have you been, hows the health of our disasterous sidekick of a few weeks back.

The following ladder & confirmation of points system is supplied from the league President.
Mallala – 88.0
Dublin – 67.84
Longies – 64.23
Hamley – 61.77
Points system;
Win = 4.0
Loss = 0.0
1 run = .01
1 wicket = .2 ( no bonus point for bowling a team out)
Looks to me that Dubby are safe & can’t get knocked out of the top 3 but could possibly lose home final. And the winner out of Longies & HB will make the final. Doesn't get much closer Swamp!

Not doing you any good though is it. Perhaps you need to put a little more time into it.

Oh don't worry, I have been! Premierships aren't won in March my rotund friend!
And another thing, why is so much cyberspace wasted on a cricket competition so prestigious it uses the final 3???!!!! Ha!

[/quote]I guess it was either that or put the comp into the too-hard-basket and let the comp fold so that we can join another one and have an association team play each week. An extra team would be good but apparently the mid north team werent too keen on taking on the teams in the LGCA each week, which is fair enough to with the likes of Trussel, East x2, Ricko steaming in.
