Majority of the NFL was 30 mins delay or so. That's due to the fact that 10 has to overlay their TV ad's over the US ad's.

The delay doesnt really faze me... if I don't wanna know the result, I make sure I don't find out. Half the time I taped most games and watched them later knowing the result anyway.

I just think it's a great move as I don't have foxtel. Really looking forward to the NCAA stuff too.

Yeah the college football will be better than NFL i reckon. You get to see what everyones talking about in relation to first round draft picks and stuff for the NFL. Also there are a lot of records broken in the NCAA. If you look at the current NFL quarterbacks profiles, you'll see that they usually have school records, like Tom Brady. But also the younger quarterbacks like Flacco, Matt Ryan and Brady Quinn.

All they need now is to get the La Cross.

NFL was always delayed by around an hour....Foxtel/ESPN have the live rights so if shown live there it wont be live on One...I would hope if not on FOX/ESPN it could be shown live on One

I agree with NFC, ALL American sports (Gridiron, Basketball, Icehockey ,NASCAR and Baseball) is over hyped / over merchandised shite!

Should have English / Scottish Rugby, along with coverage of Rugby 7's tourtaments. Be good to see this channel take over SANFL rights as well or at least show games during week like ABC2 used to.

Theres already rugby on tv and i only watch that if theres nothing on. Watched the Super League the other night...thought i was watching the local amateur teams and turned it off at half time.

Maybe the pre - halftime - post game shows are overhyped but the actual games are good to watch.

Didnt think Id get into NASCAR because its just racing in a circle but you see how much they have to strategize and stuff and it is actually pretty interesting.

I enjoy watch the American sports but the one thing that does annoy me, is at times the commentators, crowd, t.v coverage's sole emphasis is placed on the individual over the team result.

I would love to count how many times the cameras show Kobe Bryant just sitting on the bench throughout a Lakers game.

It's the same on NBA wednesday on ESPN, there scroll at the bottom of the screen during half time has live score for individual players from the games currently been played, but doesn't even show the overall match score at all.

That does annoy me but the AFL coverage is starting to get that way as well. Wait for the Richmond game tomorrow night. Its gonna be the start of Cousins mania. And every game from now on with him in it will be the same. Not looking forward to it. Ox is gonna blow multiple loads.

I think alot of the emphasis on individual stats has alot to do with the growth & popularity in fantasy comps. I can see the AFL going down a simlar path and the broadcasters will be giving greater detail on player stats.

It will will settle down after round 1 of the real stuff. It will be very similar to when he made his comeback after his 16 match suspension for WCE.

Good call. Jumping on the AFL site earlier, the homepage had the top 5 DT scorers from Round 1 of the NAB Cup. Plus a couple of stories as to who the bargain buys are.

I think you'll find 7 this year will probably be updating live Dream Team points during the breaks. The Roos v Blues game had the top 5 from each team DT pointswise at Qtr time.

They're going to kill dream team if they keep doing that. I've been playing dream team since it started and this is by far the biggest year for popularity. It's exploded!
Talk about taking the game away from the players.
