Spot on Rod
Look at the experience of the bowlers on tour:
Johnson - (OK), 20+ tests?
Bollinger - 1 test
Siddle - 4 tests or so
Hilf - 0 tests
Hauritz - 4 tests or so
McGain - 0 tests
Got to be one of the least experienced bowling line-ups Australia has fielded for a long time. Add to that 2 batsman have yet to play a test and MacDonald has only played 1.
Ponting, Huss, Clarke, Katich & Johnson are the only ones who have been playing for Australia for longer than 1 yearNot a criticism as it's unavoidable, just the reality of where this side is at and why I think we'll need to be very patient this series.
Having said all that, Clarke reckons this pitch is a "road".

it is the highest 3rd wicket partnership. but it is the 7th biggest partnership of all time. well behind the biggest partnership of all time. witch Mahela Jayawardene was also a part of.jackpot jim wrote:dinglinga wrote:u think aussie chasin leather how bout pakistan ......geez sri lanka are 3/562
