Alsoheard that Tailem had over 40 senior players training last night. very good numbers considering it is still only early stages of pre-season.

Just for a bit of fun, too early to really tell...
I reckon:
Imperials
Tailem Bend
Ramblers
Jervois
Mannum
Mypolonga
Meningie
Yup, I'm tipping last years Grand Finalist to stuggle to make finals.
A lot of people seem to be tipping imps. I hope they are right. With Seyers back it allows Harrowfield to move into the midfield. Also should have Puckridge for the full year and the Kenny Brothers should make a fair bit of difference. Hope these all make enough difference to allow us to be successful again this year. We have waited along time.
Do people agree that this could possibly be one of the most even seasons for a long time in the RMFL?
Could 6 of the 7 teams realistically win the flag in 09?
There wont be to many easy games.
I think you are right.
Imps would have to be the favourite. Best list on paper so far... so real quality there and there is always a degree of professionalism at the club. Whether or not they can pull it off is another issue.
Tailem Bend will surpise a lot. List is comparable ro Imperials, and Tailem's best are better than Imperials best... so don't be suprised if they clam it.
Ramblers where an absolute powerhouse in 08. Been rather quite in the Roosters camp, but Dougal will make a fantastic coach and they won't drop away dramatically.
Jervois I think can go either way... Undecided on how they might travel this year, but they do have a great list, and have last years most influential player in the competition. You always know they will add to there list, even possibly after round 1 commences. Should play finals.
Mannum will depend on how the playing group reacts to the new coach. Been a lot of possitive talk about him, also some that is not so reassuring. Great players so far, but not too sure they got the depth across the board.
Mypo I think will slip, but I will say this about them, they truely do believe in themselves and are a spirited mob. They will suffer majorly with players losses, but with solid gains and emeraging younger talent, they could prove me wrong. Should have a quality midfeild, Eckermann can play and young Scott Meneghetti is a star, really underated.
Meningie..... are shot.
