Gday Ray. We rolled Gepps for about 161 approx (cant remember exact score sorry) and we are 3/50 in reply. We are confident we can get over the line.

In our 20/20 match last night for those who are interested we defeated Pembroke. We got 1125 and bowled them out for 80 90 odd.

\
Cheers RW. Well Done in the 20/20 to. Scoring at 56.25 runs per over for 20 overs is an amazing effort. Any big tons. ;)

Ron Burgundy wrote:Agreed, the deck was very ordinary. Soft and difficult to bat on. The Council curate the oval and have been very hit and miss of late. Imagine a wetty at the end of the heatwave.

Having said that, both teams batted on it. Was a decent game but the pitch probably ruined what could have been a closer game.

The big difference was that Goodwood got their length right. On reflection we bowled too full.

AHOS and grange i think. Surely there should of been a Semi final involving the top four sides from each northern group and each southern group then a final for north and south. Then a playoff between the winner of south and the winner of north. I realise that would create a few extra games but it would be fair. At least you couldnt get knocked out of a competition without having lost a game.

Yes its stupid. They changed the goal posts half way thru the comp too. To go thru undefeated and then to not make the semi's is a joke. Our club hasn't lost a 20/20 game in 3 years, is reigning champ, still undefeated yet cannot defend its crown! Rubbish

You must be from SHOC. I agree that is totally unfair for you. I'd be ropable. Late notice of when we are playing is crap too, only found out yesterday. They havent even got mention of it on the ATCA website.

I can confirm our game is AHOS v Grange at Grange.

totally unorganised as per usual. There were 4 groups per division why didnt the top sides of each group in the north play off in a semi then the 2 winners in a final, ditto for south and then the 2 winners play off. not hard. atca are pathetic cant get correct tables up all year. i had 2 send emails regarding incorrect tables to atca and point out the errors. C2 is still not correct, clubs fault as well for not sending reports in but in C2 they date back to rounds 5 and 6.

You get one hit a fortnight if ya lucky, same with the egg, dont they understand we want up to date info for less than six months of the year, most blokes in atca have played all their cricket there and deserve better, show some respect and get things together please, and educate your bloody umpires to actually think b4 they make a decision-yeh yeh umpys are short in numbers heard it all b4 and agree, but give me a break where's the benefit of doubt gone, and nine out of ten the batsmen should still be there. Thanks A.T.C.A for your time.

Just in case anyone wants to know 20/20 result we were totally outplayed in all facets of the game last night to Grange who deserve their win and berth on Adelaide Oval next Friday night in the final. I have heard they are playing Payneham who I believe won the other game.

We scored 116 off our 20 I think 8 wickets down and it was never enough they got them in the 17th over I think. Matt Christophers dominated the batting for them and was unbeaten with 50 odd and Brad Young came in at the end and batted well.

In the other game Goodwood 2 batted first, were 2 for 75ish at the 10 over mark and ended up getting 125ish from their 20. Payneham got the runs with 6 balls remaining, 4 or 5 down. Deserved winners, however our B/C graders put in a solid effort to be competitive over the match.
