What I have read on this very informative forum and the grapevine throughout the Barossa my early prediction on what the ladder will look like at the end of the minor round in 2009
Tanunda - Boh Wall out / Prior In, so not much different from last season but certainly wont have their own way.
South Gawler - A few handy inclusions and a couple of players in Bevis and Johnson will be missed, Geradis, well i think South would have held the door open after he continuelly told them how good he was. Been around the mark past few years and think will take the next step.
Angaston - will be, along with Nuri the surprise packet of the year. Picked up really well and lost a couple of blokes but really not too damaging in the A-grade side. Kyle McLean being 6'5 will be missed but think they can cover him and win enough games to play finals footy
Nuriootpa - Lost Trewin to Torrens Valley for cash but at the moment thats the only lost that I can confirm. All the kids that took off are coming home so they could be a very competative side and with their performance from the last half of last year should get enough wins to scrape into 4th
Gawler Centrals - The talk of the town is these guys taking the next step but what I have heard is that they have lost more than picked up. Yes a few boys are coming home but I will be very interested in watching their progress this year.
Barossa - Will be very competative but the losses may cost them a few games this year which will make them finish out of the four. Could be wrong but think 4, 5 and 6 will finish as selected.
Kapunda - Along with Willaston are the quite movers so far this year, not much has been said but what has Kapunda have lost a couple of solid A-grade players and with a considerable amounbt of other players aging could struggle
Willaston - Not much has been said, apparently Ben Casey in so their midfield will be handy once again this year but may struggle around the ground. New coach at the club will upset a few boys but all for the good of the club.
Freeling - So far not great success with 2009 recruits, blokes making a runner and then others committing to sign and then pulling out at the 11th hour for more cash elswhere. Another tough year ahead for the Redlegs unless Prousey has a few quiet recruits he is sitting on
Boys and girls, you can agree to disagree with the above but it is only one mans opinion.
