We can agree to disagree about that. Can you name another country league with 3, possibly 4 sides in the mix for a flag this year?

To even up the competitions, when will President Owen and his band of merry men either:
(1) reduce the points (which replaced the salary cap) to a realistic level from the presently absurdly high level
and/or
(2) divide the teams into 3 divisions with an automatic promotion/relegation system?

Skins are for weak ppllike already mentioned some of the toughest in the AFL wear em and some of the toughest in the HFL too... And to be predicting a top three domination before a ball is bounced and before any team can legitimately be assessed is simply stupid. For mine Lofty would have to lose alot to not win the flag again but beyond that it's all just guess work at this stage...
Apparently the forum isnt such a bad place for recruiting just ask the new marion coach and the bloke affiliated with Victoria...

Have to disagree with you here cbtf.
(1) I dont believe that the points system needs any tampering with; realistically the more successful clubs are able to recruit better players because their commitee's work harder than those whose teams are at the bottom of the ladder. Added to this, quality players will attract more people to come and watch good quality hills A grade matches. And the more people a club gets to a game the more cash they will make on the gate, at the canteen and at the bar. Money that goes back into the community and upgrades community facilities. The competition and locals dont lose out on game either, it results in a stronger B grade comp and the option to grow the C grade and give extra people a game of footy.
(2) 3 divisions is unneccesary, it is ideal to play against each club twice per year, once at home, once away. Also not too sure that Kersbrook, Kangy or TV would have any more luck against the top Div 1 teams than Bridgey do at the moment. You would probably just have the same clubs switching up and down, year in, year out which i doubt would be ideal for the comp or those clubs.
