Thanks DA for the spurs jig explaination. Everyone seems to going apeshit all the time when I am watching.
The Liverpool League Cup game was another step forward but Gomes is starting to cause me some grief with the corners , do we stick with him?

I hope he can put it all together soon.![]()
His long shot saves against Fulham were great.

Agree EOT, his long shot stops against Fulham were top drawer. All his troubles started before kick off when the wanker badger fans gave raucous applause to the inclusion of Gomes and then proceeded to chant 'dodgy keeper' all bloody game until he had the brain implosion.
I think we need to stick with him. We paid 8m quid for him. He's got some great aspects to his game, he just needs to improve his decision making when coming out for a ball to prevent 1. him not getting to the ball, or fumbling it because he didn't get in the right position and 2. him almost killing one of our CB's, which he's tried 3 times now.
We need to remember, he's only 27. Most keepers hit their prime at 30, with the exception of a VERY select few.
And besides, list an available option that's better. Robbo?......Loved him, but no thanks. Green....erm...no thanks. David James.......no, purely because he has history and Spurs are brilliant at destroying keepers. Hart....young talent, maybe with reservations. Shay Given...yes please, but what's he going to cost?
Once again, the problem for us starts in the midfield, defensively. Sort that out and we'll be relying less on Gomes anyway.
Off the topic, Spurs have been linked with Gareth Barry now the Scouse stuffed up their chance to sign him. IMO, Barry is just what we need, and we're silly enough to pay silly money to land him.

Jabber, you can go into most sports shops across Europe and they will be selling Man U, Chavski, Arsenal, Liverpool, Celtic, Rangers and of course Bunley replica shirts.
It's about business and a world wide fan base.
got to abmit I have seen a few shops in southern Europe selling Spurs tops but not nearly as many who sell the big 4.

The next superstar keeper Bob Green.
And no i don't just talk up West Ham players infact i think we have a fair few donkeys there at the moment so bias doesn't come into it.

TBH, the ref should have shown 2 yellows one after the other followed by the red. IMO both those tackles were bookable. Then a 3rd. Lennon was just too good.
Good win but you did look very nerevous on the last 15 mins or so. Still a win is a win and you are out of the bottom 3.
Wonder what the odds are for Spurs finishing higher than Arsenal this year ?
