There's that name Dawe again.
Would it be right that the team of the carnival would basically be the SA country team, if SA was actually sending a team of course?

They were asking the exact same question. Leigh Whickers response was that they were disappointed that our side had been put into the Div 2 side of the carnival, so they pulled the pin. What do they expect when they dont send a side in 2002 to perth for the Championships for financial reasons, just to waltz back into div1?? Not good enough if you ask me, kick in the guts to all those that put their hand up for representative footy.
SA will be the only state not going. Even the Kiwi's are sending their best side!!!!!!!
Cheers for that Indian. I did actually hear the interview and I thought how uncanny it was that it was mentioned only about half an hour after I made my original post about it!
Agree with what you said but it's pretty ordinary in my book that funding can't be found somewhere to send these blokes to these championships. Is probably the highest honour that some of these guys will ever get, is an extremely high standard of football and for them to have to pay their own way is pretty ordinary IMO - Very Bloody Ordinary!!!!

I reckon now would be the latest we could do our top 5 predictions before finals.
I think final 5 order will still be (I think the same as my early post, can't find it though)
1. Lofty
2. Uraidla
3. Mt Barker
4. Onkas
5. Blackwood
Country:
1. TV
2. Kangarilla
3. Meadows
4. ????? - who's there at the moment??
5. Echunga

Is it fate that he'll do it against Bridgewater?
A great effort considering the ups and downs he endured along the way! Might end on a real high this year.

I have Lobethal pencilled in for two more wins which will give them 12 points, but note this week against Ironbank is no certainty. Hahndorf as well are certain for two more wins but the big game for both Hahndorf and Blackwood will be when they clash in Rd 14 and as it is being played at Blackwood they will probably start favourites. Blackwood will be hoping that Ironbank do them a favour and also beat them in Rd 15 but I have my doubts about that. Two more wins to Hahndorf will have them on 14 points. By my calculations Blackwood can afford to drop two games as three more wins will have them on 14 points. Neither of these sides in contention have a massive percentage count over each other but it may well come down to the last minute of the last quarter of the season. Of course either of these teams could surprise us all and beat a team above them on the ladder which would throw this theory of mine out the window.

My spies spotted him Grinning like a cheshire cat, swaying to the beat, at The Vines Nightclub on the Sat Night. What a ledgend. Flying the flag for Hills Footy
