If I can be serious for a moment most people geberally agree that the country leagues are around div 3 standard. What you have to realise is that a div 3 team(unless it was exceptional, i.e. doesn't lose a game) would be murdered in div 2. When teams go up a div they recruit like mad otherwise they go straight back down.
If Willunga were truly of div 1 standard they would be the bottom teams by 40 goals and the mid range teams by 20 goals. It's very unrealistic for there to be that much of a discrepancy within the same league.
It's nothing to be ashamed of, there are just heaps more players in the city to draw on.
I understand that very well Shrekky, hence why Seaton went up and back again this year. Willunga have pasted some teams in the last few years, had 40 goal wins and this season i would say probably won atleast 5 or 6 games by 20 goals (BJ can probably confirm), were very rarely headed in a game. Strath who finished second, are probably of a low div 2 level or right up there in divvy 3. There is no doubt that Goodwod, Salisbury North, Henley, Gaza Gepps are a cut above the rest, but looking at the Div 2 grand finalists, SHOC's and Modbury, Willunga would have had them covered.
