Only a few months ago it was almost on parity with the greenback.
Today, according to xe.com, you will get less than 62 measly US cents for a South Pacific Peso.
And the biggest reason this gives me the sh1ts is that I'm typing this from a hotel room on the California central coast...

Organised global roaming on the mobile so's I could use it here in the USA. Was assured that all I had to do was turn the phone on when I got to the USA and it would work fine.
It didn't.
Spent 15 minutes on the phone to Vodafone's Australian service number. First got a machine. Took 5 minutes to get through to a human. The human just asked a bunch of questions and promptly transferred me to another human, who asked exactly the same questions. In the end she couldn't get the phone working. She said she'd raise a fault with the tech people, and I gave her my email address and she promised to send info as soon as she could. She hasn't yet.
This phone call was made from the hotel room, although I did use a Telstra phonecard service. Can't wait to see the bill.![]()
Aside, has anyone noticed how international travel brings out a myriad of sh1tful things and experiences?
