Geez this thread moves quickly!

Nice to see some people rate us but i am going to continue to maintain our underdog status all year as much as it frustrates everyone else, as was the case last year. Easier to stay politically correct with comments that way.

Greenies will be chasing a new FF with Forthy heading back moonta way. Any names being thrown about yet.
As i may have mentioned in the seperate GG thread, we are very close to securing both Todd Shepphard back from centrals as well as Chad Parrish from Pire. Dont hold me to it yet but would be very suprised if it didnt turn out that way.

Ill admit i didnt follow much of d4 last year but from what i remember and have read so far we can put PAOC as the smart money early

PAOC will be hard to beat, injuries to some of their guns cost them dearly this year. Ryan Byrne is a great player - he kicked 3 against us on both occasions during the year, and we class that as a win !!!

Salisbury will be the ones to watch IMO. If they have a side even resembling their D4 side from 2007, then they will be right in things up to their eye balls.

Heres my top 5 for next year -
PAOC
Salisbury
Fitzroy
GG
Salisbury West

Then you add Greenies, Haven, Pooraka, Lutheran, CBC all fighting for a spot too. I reckon it will be a very open 2009 in D4 again.

bear could easily move to full forward the strongest player ive seen at the club in years pretty good on the lead as well.

got the tip a quality player from houghton may make the move to greenies as well would slot nicley into the full forward role.

then there's jason oreagan broke his ankle 1 1/2 years ago. probably the most talented player at the club.

I am becoming more and more excited to get the season underway with the supposed openess. Uncharted territory for our club. Will be interesting to see where we stand amongst things

LM.. jason oregan did play a couple of games this year but in his second game back in the b's got mugged by a mongrel from the units..ended up in hospital and underwent surgery to his eye and surrouding area..that was basically the end of his year unfortunately..hope he stays with us and can complete a full pre-season, he is a very talented player and we could use him.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Wow....eye injury/damage is scary stuff. Im assuming he came out ok/full vision if you are talking about a potential preseason

Kookacash wrote:Is it confirmed that Salisbury West will stay in Div 4?? A rumour i heard is that they will be outed from the comp due to excessive suspensions etc.
The Saafl brought in a new policy for suspensions where there is a certain number that is allowed for teams... and Salisbury West went way over this number.
True or False???

If they are outed from the comp it will have something to do with one of the hyreichy at Amateur House thats never had any time for them & still hasn't since his coaching days with a rival club of the Tigers years ago.
I know they have to pull their heads in & they do aswell but the League need to work together with them on certain issues involving outsiders of the club that continue to give the club a bad name, the League know the history of it as stated to them from the club but the million $$ question is will the League help? I know this certain person will make it hard for Salis West so they are in danger of folding as a club in the short term.
