So in my opinion the rule is fair and required, it just unfortunately has an unfortunate side effect.
I think you may have missed the point there BP. The example you describe is what happened last weekend which PN has said is fair enough but this week with both sides playing Mt Lofty should be able to put whoever they want in either side........and I don't even support Lofty.
