what about them?

"A good footballer is about what you do for your mates" What did you guys do for your mates at those 2 clubs besides leave them?

Here we go again.. We planned on staying at both clubs until s***t happened. At Gepps we as a team felt like we werent welcome and werent good enough to be considered part of the club so we decided to move on. Some of the blokes who left after that year had been there for years. Wingfield considering a number of us had played cricket there seemed like the most suitable option when Chris got the nod to coach there. We had 'all' planned to stay at Wingfield on the belief the club had turned itself reputation around then the B grade premiership coach gets kick hit by a disgruntled ex b grader. Would you want to re-new your coaching contract there. Hell no!! In both cases players as individuals had the choice to stay or leave.
Whats going on at Ovies is minor. It was '1' undisciplined player and he was dealt with appropriately.

Ok just thought id ask.

Might just be he didn't have any, did you think of that?

Didnt have any, mmmmmm. Let me think. Go to Gepps knowing 2 people. Leave 'with' 10-15... mmm.. Go to Wingfield knowing 10-15. leave with 20-25.. mmmm. Will you always be such a 'simple' person or do you just prefer not using your head.

If a choice is offered to them..

Ofcourse we are going to offer them to come with us.. But in offering alls we would do is ask whether they are staying at Wingfield/gepps etc. If they say 'no' or 'not sure', we'd say 'well we're heading here or there, would love to see you out there'
And thats where the communication stops. No knagging, just leave them with the option.

Well Bubbula,it does'nt look like we're gonna get anywhere with this.I'd like to think that you'd feel the same as me if it was your bro caught up in this. But,there's two sides to every story. You've told yours, and I've told mine and I think thats fair enough.I just hope for the sake of some mates like Klompy,Dave,Ryan,BigDaddy and Levi,as well as Josh and Troy, that Ovies go on to win the flag this year. And maybe even have two sides in Div 7 next year.Good luck,I think you're gonna need it.

yeh, fairs fair. If it was my brother I would be on the defensive to but I would also have wide eye-sight on the situation.

Dude,I know better than anyone what my bro is like, but at the end of the day I just think this is blown out of proportion.Chris has been at the club for 5 mins and he's handing out 3 month bans to premiership players. And at the end of the day it's all happened because Baz is a VERY passionate bloke. It's been taken too far.

But how far can a bloke push his team mates. The line was drawn and Bazz crossed it. I regard Barry as one of our best defenders. I understand his passionate. But he was warned and punished previously because his passion went overboard in the negative/abusive criticism and it made the backline rather unsettled.

I seem to recall the term "gypsies" being posted on here about a similar issue.

From the dictionary "gypsy" means "somebody with an unconventional or nomadic way of life" also
"Nomadic" means "people who wander from place to place, usually seasonally or "a person who wanders aimlessly from place to place"

Now that sounds like a "Bubbula" theory to me, it's not them that are unconventional, it's the rest of the world!

I mentioned this on the 'Selection Dilemma' thread. Remember 'Ovies to Self-destruct'?

Good win.I guess that proves that PHOS dropped a heap of players back for the first final.Heard Klompy kicked seven and ran amok.
