We were lucky that they kicked very inaccurately to make the scoreboard look respectable for us. Very impressive they were. Firm favourites still with Earl, Saunders and probably Griffiths to come in they will only get stronger! Their midfield is sensational and seem to rotate well with each of them having a spell on the bench during each rotation.
As for top 4 I guess it will now be Mallala, Balak, Hummocks then us.
I dont think it was quite that convincing MC. The standard of the game was very low with some great patches of quality footy occasionally, but all in all a poor reflection of our leagues standard. The game seemed very stagnet. True, inaccuracey was a problem but I would hate to think that United could convince anyone on here that they arent really good enough to press for a flag this season with the quality of players on thier list. On Saturday United were missing PLENTY of quality, which is why Mallala really couldnt take anything out of the game on the weekend. Without Vandenburg, Broad, Graham, Opitz, Che Cockatoo-Collins (for a half), Sobey (missed match time with leg problem), Willy Searle and Mickey Brown (theres 8 that would start in most A Grade teams in this league) just to name a few I think the match was a poor indication of United's capabilities.
So your not gonna sneak under the radar MC, Balaklava however may well do just that. Whilst the pies must still be clear favourites I think the gap is not quite as far as most may seem. All makes for a stellar finals series. Lets not forget there is still some important matches to go before we get there though.
