Hear a bit of a coup will occur next year with a high profile GSFL life member ready to take over and a high-profile coach waiting in the wings.
Supporters must be hoping and praying that this is true because the current structure is useless.

Things will be changing at the Saints next year TC but your mail about the Wilsons is wrong. The locals mentioned as well as some current players may not be happy, but this could possibly be to do with another recruit and not the Wilsons. You need to remember that we recruited Adam and Hayden, then got Scott and Jared free of charge (4 for the price of 2). As well as this Greg (father) is an absolute work horse around the place. The to top things off the netabll club will get a star netballer next year. Cant see why anyone would be unhappy with that.

Toughcall wrote:Oh, and Luvs Footy, 4 for the price of 2 with the Wilsons is all well and good, but the issue is the other 2 cannot play and locals are missing out because Popey is playing those two ahead of them. Even the 2 on the big money are not living up to their so called "reputations" and the locals know they are on the big coin. Money that could be better spent on some decent recruits that could lift the team off the bottom.

Which locals are missing out on a game , to my knowledge saints do not have the depth in the seconds . Some players may have left due to a player coming to the club , I'm sure this wil be discussed further as popey has been reappointed for a further 2 years . As far as the wilsons being overpaid and not living up to their so called reputations that is for talk at the bar with yourself TC and the other tripple brownlow medalists .

I cant believe your already talking next year up! Didnt you fall in the trap of doing that this season - ever heard of just letting things go and flying under the radar?

Panther32 wrote:Not that i'm sticking up for Luvsfooty at all, but if you read through his posts preseason, I don't think he had any misconceptions about where the club was going to finish this year. Everyone else was talking them after hearing about their recruits saying they were going to be playing finals this year, where in fact Footyislife said not to get too far ahead of yourselves as they were bottom last year and have got a long way to go.
As it was said above, it can take a while to break that losing mentality at a club, so at least it sounds as though they are travelling in the right direction.

Willunga 75 points (Yank really improving but the juggernaut continues to roll forward)
Bays 35 points (Too good on their home deck, but dont underestimate the mudlarks)
VH 20 points (Interesting battle with a couple of ex Goolwa boys playing for VH)
Compass 10 points (Home ground advantage)
Creek 60 points (Going very well considering the max exodus after last year)
