Jazz Wilson - Had a good year and a favourite with the men in white.
Bluey Montgomerie - Red nut and red hot skills!
Broady - has to go well, But schm...shi.i....schimmin, yeah he's going alright too.
Nedley Seccafien - Dead set gun, but probably not on the ump's radar.
Leaping Leroy -probably has a bit too much advice on how the umpires could do it better.
Big Whiskey - always a favourite with the ump's, But look for B.Catford to out race him.
M.Young - get's plenty of it and is the Ram's best by a street, but have they won enough.
Brett Bargearse - kicks plenty of goals and let's everybody know it too, have to be Hamley's highest.

But to be completley truthful, trendsetters, Some of these boneheaded blokes with whistles i wouldn't trust to sit the right way on a toilet seat, let alone pick the leagues best and fairest! So having said that, your guess is as good as mine.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

i think perhaps winner will come from either ryan montgomerie or joel montgomerie. (i think they are brothers) however them boys will have few other taking votes off them. one player sure to get some votes in the last half is young fella from mallala dean christie.

i probably going with swamp on this one and say broad shorts will poll well again along with whiskey

my smokey is david oswald from HWE

that sure is a smokey! will poll less than light, ja wilson, joel wilson, barnes, jericho, braham...
pretty sure whiskey has been suspended this year.
broad has missed a few games. united's votes would be pretty scattered at this stage
who is this "young fella from mallala" dean christie?
ned seccafien has been getting best for the roosters every week but a few of these games have been losses and lee allmond should poll well

yeah bob smokey alright. full backs dont usually poll well. he has been very solid for the eags though this year. i didnt no whiskey had been reported and some times i think that some players in some clubs but may not be in the best 3 players on the ground. dean christie just young fella that rolled up on the weekend and had a game

im sure that some of the bombers mid fielders may catch some attention as they are flashy players who seem to catch they eye of the umps.

i think his name is christian rimmer, he will poll votes. has been outstanding in the games i have seen

from all reports the umpires and the magpies rams game were really good. matty young was heart and sole of the rams again. he just didnt have any support

Jazz Wilson doesn't poll too well with the umpies if I remember correctly. Was robbed of a medal about 8-9 years ago. May be different now as he seems to the elder statesman of the league and perhaps a little less lippy.

What about L. Whitwell? Has he been a bit quieter this year than others. Also noticed J. earl high in the best last weekend.

B. Shimmin has been good in the games that i have seen, second year in the league & will be known by the umps now. Jazz Wilson deserves one & his form puts him up front for the eagles. Ned Secca also been outstanding but sometimes hardball getters don't always get noticed by the umps although they did noticed Broad last year. I agree with Rooster though, i don't trust the umps to get it right!

whitty was at it again on the weekend. has had superb season so far in the games i have seen. was also good to see the great jason earl back on the track. mallala seem to really lift when he is playing.

think the longies boys will be starting to hit there straps in the next few weeks. they have had 2 weeks off so some players should be returning to the fray. also a milestone game for willie searle playing his 100th game for the club so would think blokes would want to be part of that

Josh Min has umpired several games involving Mallala in A Grade and from what i have seen has umpired exceptionally well. Being a former player, definately serves you well in terms of umpiring ability. Its great to see him involved in our association. His performance definately rubbed off on Prousey on Saturday whom was also very consistent. Its good to see.

We seem to be getting Stevey "Baffling" Bawden, and he, in all seriousness, would struggle to find his own ass at times, he needs to improve to say the very least, i think we had prousey once or twice. Ah Memories of good umpires!!!

Just on that, there is a young bloke umpiring the Junior and senior Colts who is being groomed by the "once great" D.Tallboy, Good to see young blokes coming through, being an umpire is a tough job, if you have a stinker you are the biggest bonehead on earth, but if you get it right nobody knows!

Will be a close one if all the returning players continue to stand up as with last week. Fine day expected so could be a shoot out.

Tips this week:
Mallala in a close one
Hummocks by a bit
Two Wells to win by 10+ goals
Donkey to try and get himself out of our $20 bet on Byron.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Mallala - 45pts
HW Eagles - 69pts
Hamley - 15pts

I've changed my opinion about Two Wells. As long as they keep blaming there midfield for them losing, they will continue that way. They are in desperate need of forwards to stand up & be counted! This has not happened in quite a few years. A lot of talk on this chat room blames there midfield but from what i've sen, that is there strength. If they only had a Boo Eddy or Ivan Silvy up there they would be genuine contenders.

Hazbeen have you heard any feedback on the new jumper?
I'm not a fan of it. I would prefer the green and gold stripes.

Agree with you droppie. Still looks a bit cartoonish! I wonder if they have two sets like most clubs or just ordered one BIG set of guernseys all the way up to number 82.

Yep, agree too! The jumper was already shocking but is now actually worse!! I'm just saying that cos i've been on the end of a couple of crucial losses to it over the years! But seriously, i can't believe that they would change the gurnsey? As bad as we think it is, that jumper has won many GF's over the years, does tradition still mean anything anymore? Also, are they even allowed to change the design mid season??

Well i reckon it's ok, not a lot you can do with green and gold, but to still have the vertical stripes is an excellent choice, and let's face it, it's better than the HWE jumpers.
