Cuzzy, I would have to agree with you that there was some shocking umpiring going on in the game, but I would have to also add that some of those goals you mentioned were given away from undisciplined acts from the Bay players. As frustrating as it is to have a free kick given against you when it shouldn't have, giving away 50m penalties won't help any team. I reckon I would've seen at least 6 50m penalties given away from Encounter.

was talking to a bays player after the game, he said he questioned one umpire in particular about the way he was umpiring the game during the game and the umpire said i dont care what you think this is my 5th game of umpiring and im doing it for the money like everyone else out here. Two of the 50 metre penalties were prob legite, eg throwing the ball away ect once a free kick was awarded the rest were simply a joke. Anyway thats not harp on about the umpires, where was portlock, why wasnt he playing, scott brown has him not only stiched up on the park but also mentally aswel by the sounds of it.

The Goolwa Oval wins this honour by a mile. Definitely the best oval going around.

I agree that the Goolwa oval is in the top couple in the league, but the changerooms are an embarassment.

dunno about the home change rooms but the away ones are a joke, they have enough room in them but the shower area is s%#t house, not even a toilet attached to the change rooms. If you play away at goolwa and you want a shower dont bother, would get a better shower standing under your own tap in your backyard. Dunno if you would say the oval is that great either, unless it rained this week the oval would be so hard its not funny, played there round 1 and still have bruises and cuts from the ground. It was like falling on concrete
