Cuzzy, I would have to agree with you that there was some shocking umpiring going on in the game, but I would have to also add that some of those goals you mentioned were given away from undisciplined acts from the Bay players. As frustrating as it is to have a free kick given against you when it shouldn't have, giving away 50m penalties won't help any team. I reckon I would've seen at least 6 50m penalties given away from Encounter.

was talking to a bays player after the game, he said he questioned one umpire in particular about the way he was umpiring the game during the game and the umpire said i dont care what you think this is my 5th game of umpiring and im doing it for the money like everyone else out here. Two of the 50 metre penalties were prob legite, eg throwing the ball away ect once a free kick was awarded the rest were simply a joke. Anyway thats not harp on about the umpires, where was portlock, why wasnt he playing, scott brown has him not only stiched up on the park but also mentally aswel by the sounds of it.

Is Scott Brown back playing now?
I did hear the same about Mitch, he has a minor issue with his elbow and was required to sit the week out. Prob not a bad choice because he can now get two weeks rest and only miss the one club game as the injury will keep him out from the assosiation side (if selected).
Interesting to see what the out come with the Mount Compass V Saint Snr Colts will be, I am not sure how many guys on here keep track of the colts but its a very close league this season with the top 7 all great contendors and the bays are now flying high with a great win over Willunga.

yeah scott is back playing, played last week and this week just gone, kept his fitness up over the injury period, was keen to play earlier but doctor would not let him. To his credit walked back into the bay lineup and has been in the best the last two weeks i think.

Yes he had an elbow infection and was unable to come up although he wanted to. He enjoys the challenge of Scott Brown and has had his colors lowered but really what good is tagging one player when guys like Carnevale, Baxter, Dobson, Mcgowan and co can all do as much if not more than he can. Food for thought for opposition sides! (and may help Mitch get a kick  )

Association this week and if the elbow is right he will play. But selection is the first issue and hopefully the squad is pretty close to the one picked although i have heard a few players are starting to pull out.

Association game is being held at Strathalbyn, which I must say is in terrible condition.

What I would like to know is why the association game isn't played on the best oval in the league?
The Goolwa Oval wins this honour by a mile. Definitely the best oval going around.

I agree that the Goolwa oval is in the top couple in the league, but the changerooms are an embarassment.

dunno about the home change rooms but the away ones are a joke, they have enough room in them but the shower area is s%#t house, not even a toilet attached to the change rooms. If you play away at goolwa and you want a shower dont bother, would get a better shower standing under your own tap in your backyard. Dunno if you would say the oval is that great either, unless it rained this week the oval would be so hard its not funny, played there round 1 and still have bruises and cuts from the ground. It was like falling on concrete

It's been a couple of years admittedly but I was more talking about the toilet and shower facilities in the away rooms. They are not bad, they're non-existant. The only reason I used to have a shower there is because it was a long drive home.

Cuzzy has cuts and bruises from an oval during the worst drought on record.

Must agree on Goolwa having shocking change rooms! Barely enough room is more like it! But the oval is quite good!

Yankalilla have slightly improved their away rooms, changing the Crazy Horse like podium shower! Only problem is that the water now struggles to drain away and runs down the side of the change room soaking poor blokes bags & their clothes.
