the umpires are poor across all divisions, go and watch a div 4 or div 5 game and you'll be shocked at the poor standards the lower divisons have to put up with!!!!

I totally agree. some dead set shockers getting around d3/4 level would hate to see the standard dished out at d7 level

See in the paper that Ben Caseys back from a short lived retirement & booted 5 for the Tiges.

Seaton were poor and totally undesciplined. If you think an umpire is against you or *cheating* as you Seaton people are implying, then wouldn't your players shut their mouths instead of arguing and abusing the umps all day long. From what i saw Broadview didn't give one 25m penalty away all day and Seaton about 150m worth of them. As for the umpires they were poor but for both sides, its just that Seaton were second to the ball all day and you will find, especially in the wet, all teams that play that way will give frees away. Well done to Broadies for their first win anyways. Seaton are in more trouble then you blokes believe.

Fair to say Goodwood put a dent in Sals Nth armour on the weekend, and also sounded out the usual warning at this time of year for the rest of the comp. Anyone see the game?? Sals Nth had no room to get their running game going at Goodwood i'm assuming.

Nah, more like bored out of his skull on a Saturday arvo.
Still, whatever, it is good to see him playing again, he's knocked back a lot more money in the past & present but still stuck with Broadview since his Rooster days. Get's his 100 this season, no?

Not sure the scores in the Sunday Mail were correct, the SAAFL website has Gepps winning by 11 points. Maybe big Roger didn't want too many to read about another loss down Ethelton way

From what i saw of the game Seaton were hung & were never given a chance, yes they were undiscipline but the umpires had alot to do with that with their disgraceful decision making & bias-ness.
Players are taught to obey & accept the maggots decisions, theirs only so much you can take before someone flies off the handle after numerous inconsistant decisions go against you.
I do agree Seaton have to control their discipline but umpires too must take control of a game & not let it get out of control like some games have due to the umpires inability to sustain consistancy.

How can you condone the behaviour of the players at seaton? they have always been a dirty side and the umpires making the decisions they made and sticking up for themselves by giving 50 metre penalties shows that they are taking control of the game. If seaton were smart they would have shut up and played for the ball.

A couple of interesting moves afoot. My sources advise Wade Harrison to TTG after signing with Gepps, playing half a trial in the B grade then being told he needed to get fitter before he played A's, did his usual, spat the dummy now going to TTG.
Good luck Gullies  i hope you can control him, noone else has been able to

A Ladhams, possibly Walkies back to Gepps. Played at Gepps 2 seasons ago then went to Moonta for a season. :o

A Ladhams back to Gepps Bs. WOuldn't get a kick in a streetfight let alone a div 1 club. Does that mean his other mate from Walkies Lee Henderson will return too?

Harrison is like a cancer, his attitude eats through the young players of the team, i have seen it first hand. The kid can play but there is a reason that Gepps, Broadview and then Gepps again have got rid of him.

Shreky, one thing is for sure, you wont see Andy in a Flinders Park jumper. He's not over 35 so doesn't qualify as a recruit.
he's welcome at Gepps any time he wants to suit up.If fit, would push for an A grade spot. Noticed from most of your previous posts, you are not happy unless your bagging someone!!!

I don't think Wade Harrison is anywhere near as bad as u are all saying....Harro does have some discipline / attitude problems sometimes however he gets along well with the rest of the boys and the minor issues he has could be controlled with a good coach and a little more comittment.

I played a fair bot of footy with him and other than the issues mentioned he is a good addittion to any side in any div.
Harsh but fair.....

This weeks clash between Goodwood Saints v Henley may well turn out to be a fizzer at Goodwood oval.
I'm tipping the Saints by 40+ points.

i would think that attitude/ discipline problems are not minor issues in a div1 club. top clubs don't need that sort of player.

Moz, I am inclined to feel that players with these traits are "bad news' in any club. They may be able to get the footy but geez are they worth the trouble? I think not.
