Tatts thats exactly what I am saying I don't think pinching B-Graders from other clubs is what needs to be done. If they have funds now they should get in good equipment like weights and make it a place where locals want to come and play there footy. They have to get out there inyto primary schools and even the High Schools and get the word out come down to Hackham.
Also I think what would help Hackham a great deal would be a coach that is prepared to do the extra work off the ground to promote the club to the community like going to Schools?

Navy2005 - A high profile coach would help sell the club no doubt but a long term plan to get to the top 4 is what is needed i think. At Morphies they planned what is happening now 10 years ago when the likes of the Beechings,Pollards,Nadilos were on the junior committe. And the fact that they sent alot of players to South in this era and that they all came back when they had finished at South certainly helped as did the appointments of Trevor Potts and Steve Hill

The club has welcomed the Kelly Gang with open arms.... Scott (from what I have seen) is a fantastic leader and he is as hard as nails on the playing group! No more easy training sessions and no more players just rocking up on Saturdays and getting a gig without doing the hard yards during the week!
A lot of juniors are improving in leaps and bounds as well.... We will see some filter through the senior sides as the season progresses....
A strong pre-season has left a solid amount of senior players with good fitness, but again the numbers could be a lot higher at training!
Under Kelly & Co, I really think the club will move ahead in leaps and bounds.... It may not be noticable straight away in results, but he is basically having to change the whole culture at the club! The players have now realised that you either put in the hard yards, or you pi$$ off!!
Respect is very high for Scott (IMHO) and it is great to see some real focus amongst the seniors.... It will be a long road back to being a strong club, but the right steps are being taken....

Be terrible new for the club having a strong junior program would do the Hawks a world of good in rebuilding the club.
