Player trades are useful, but never any guarantee, some player swops work, thinking Adam Gilchist (NSW) to (WA) or Dan Marsh (SA) to (TAS) or Michael Bevan (NSW) to (TAS) etc. others don't. Matthew Elliot from (VIC) to (SA), Damien Fleming (VIC) to (SA) was a wrong move, player trades are useful at First class level most of the time.
Back at SACA, you do get what you pay for!
In all honesty how many Grade Club Managers are going to stick there hand up and say they want to be split into a two division competition or relegated to the Adelaide Turf Competition none of them. The last clubs to go from the Competition were Elizabeth (Merger with Salisbury to form Northern Districts) 1996/97? and Student Teachers folded for Tea Tree Gully 1983/84 ? I think. Reform starts with the clubs if they have the game at heart and not just there 100+ year old clubs.
They are going to have to make the hard calls for the game to be developed better in SA. How come so many good solid performances at Junior level peeter out, it's the lack of competition for the best players. Reform the structure and save the game.

Just wondering, since he was pretty much the only player that actually earned his spot in the team.

not as of yet. He is sticking to his guns and asking for a 2 year deal. Weather he gets it or not is up to the Saint Peters old boys club that call the shots

Strange to think that this would be much of a sticking point?? Why would he not deserve some for of reward and security for his performances.
