NSW would be the best target, perhaps a state player not too happy with being omitted from the final...
Having said that, Khawarja wouldn't be that handy...

Cameron on the other hand...

It is not about selling the future to fix the present, It needs to be a combination of both. If you honestly think that the redbacks dont need players from out of the state and can work with what they have got then you are delusional. The current crop is not going to get the job done and neither will the future lot if we keep going down this track. Obviously there are other things that need fixing such as off field appointments and better development programs but that does not change the fact that SA need new blood and they need it now.
By your thinking the Redbacks should not recruit anyone and then keep this side developing for the next 4-5 years? Please if they do that then it is going to be 4-5 years at the bottom of the table and by that stage they will have even less supporters than they do now.

BUZZ wrote:I agree with you, we have spent the last few years sitting at the bottom, support is thinning rapidly. So if the solution is to recruit interstate players, do we target established players who would ask for the $, or target kids and develop them?
No prejudice intended

Are these a thing of the past, as stated our district cricket needs a total revamp, the only sign of a change at that level was to appoint a CA represenative to each club, respectivaly these guys were payed around 10k. I hope they start earning the coin soon.....

IMHO the whole SACA needs a total cleanout. Especially the high performance department. We have a current SACA employee advocating that the correct batting technique is to plant the front foot down the wicket and belt the cover off the ball![]()
What hope in hell do these up and coming youngsters have when you have a bowling injury prone national representative directing kids this.
We are the current u/17 national champs 2 years running including this season undefeated so there is talent out there. Get these kids now playing higher grade cricket now giving them experience against men and continue developing these lads and if its done correctly then results should show.
