Theres a few leagues on the Eyre Peninsula that have functioned ok with 5 or less clubs. Its not ideal, but i think its better than nothing.

That's true, having a 5 team comp is better than no comp at all, but from what some of the Murrayville locals are saying, it's only a matter of time where Murrayville have to look at merging or folding simply because of the lack of kids being born in the district. It might not be for another 10 years or so but it's heading down that path.
Even now, Murrayville rely on locals that are living in Adelaide coming home to play and bringing mates from uni/work back for a game to keep the numbers up.

your so called reliable source is full of s***t frithy is one of the best young footballers going round in the saafl vanders is as hard of a ball winner than anyone going round in the saafl with good skills to match and micky wilson can play anywhere big or small very handy player so if your " reliable source " (pffft) says central united asked them to leave i would ask him to take his hand off it . and anyway from what i hear central united are not in any position to ask anyone to leave .
but with some of the other pick ups peake have i wouldnt worry bout these boys anyway theres others to worry about by no means am i saying peake are fav's or anything like that just say'n will be at least a 8 to 10 goal better side than last year .

What I am angling at is for 10 years it’s pretty safe to say that Peake spent the best part of $0 on getting some new player or even a coach, and now in the last 2 years they have had more new players than Bandits caught by Skippy.
What made them change?

Aren't they from division 6? Peake will need to improve by atleast 12-15 goals to be a force this season. Other mallee league clubs have been recruiting solidly also and will improve some what as well...
