Songs you like from bands you hate

All footy songs from other clubs... some more than others.
Grand Old Flag, Cheer Cheer, Tigerland... obviously don't like the clubs but the songs are great, such a classic feel.



Coldplay shit me to tears of recent times, but I really love Shiver.
Britiney is a tool - but Hit Me Baby One More Time has been covered so well that it sticks in my head.

Might have had this topic before but I'm constantly upset with myself when a band I hate puts out a song I really enjoy, Im sure others have this issue.
Powderfingers Lost and Running and Matchbox 20s How Fare We've Come are probably my two most recent.

I hope that one day concerts will have discounted tickets for people who only want to go in and listen to one song!

Wedgie, I think your post straight away highlights just how subjective musical tastes really are.

In this case I am a huge Powderfinger and Matchbox Twenty fan, but I think that those two songs are definitely not the best the have put out recently, nor the best on their respective albums.

Nearly got thrown out the pub after a few beers with mates after I said I did not mind the new Shannon Noll song "In Pieces".

Probably deserved...as long as I dont get a ban here for admitting it!!!

Yep, i like Powderfinger's "I don't remember" and "nobody sees", but that's all from their latest work.
Don't like the latest M20 song either, although Rob Thomas's little wonders found another void in my head, they seem to appear a little too frequently those voids.
Bruce Springstein's Radio Nowhere isn't too bad either.

Also for mine the latest Matchbox 20 song annoys me yet I didn't mind their earlier stuff .... go figure

On Nollsy I like most of his stuff even tho the politically correct thing is to think he is a tool - I'd happily buy a greatest hits CD of his (psst just our secret ..... )

Try Van Halen album "Van Halen 3" released in the late 90's.....Gary Cheerone (think thats how u spell it!!) from Extreme was the new singer....now there is a CD that stinks
