I remember it well, great days, crikey if they'd sooked like a kid that the big bad other side had called them monkeys they would have copped it too, they knew how to leave stuff on the field and copped heaps too, much more than Symonds ever did.
The West Indies could give it out but they could take it too, probably why Aussies respected them so much as that's the Australian way, or should I say used to be the Australian way.

Holding kicking down stumps, Daniel throwing bricks into crowds, Ambrose standing on the pitch and spitting at people, Richards arrogantly directing celebrations at the crowd, slips cordons sledging.....sounds familiar doesn't it.
But they were just colourful back then (no pun intended).

Can't speak for other countries Hondo but it is now something that is beginning to be a big practice in Australia and not only at the cricket, has been instances where people have been deployed at AFL games. Not sure if you are aware but 76 people were ejected from the 1st test in the first session for alleged racist remarks directed at the Indians

Sorry guys, I grew up with some Aboriginal kids and saw their faces when abused. I won't stand for it. I feel very uncomfortable when people tell jokes about 'Stan' or 'Jimmy' the Aboriginal.
I may be a bleeding heart liberal, but I'll take that stand every time.
As the great Lucky Dube sang: "different colours, one people".
