In what ways do the English administer their game better than NRL?
Sad to say but I have despite having no allegiances to England.
But the way I looked at it was there was quite a few of my club involved with England but none involved with the green and yellow and afterall it was a combined NSW/QLD side and I have no allegiances to either of those states. Easy decision really.
I always have been a very club orientated person in every sport I follow.
Rest assured though, the last 3 tri-nations tournaments had my family barracking against me.
English RL is awesome, its more attacking, the crowd is more involved, they're much more passionate and close to the game, its promoted as a real family game in the UK and they do a great job IMHO, much more families than you'll ever find watcing soccer.
No Canbebury Bulldogs Lebs demoloshing stadiums or beating up people too which is always a bonus.
Even things as low as buying jersey, it cost me less money to import a Leeds top including postage than it does to buy a Raiders top in Australia!
Honestly, you only have to watch half a dozen English RL games to know what I'm on about.
As far as standard goes, the NRL is still on top but its based around a defence game and the clubs IMHO don't have 10% of the heart of UK clubs.
(Bit like AFL compared to SANFL).
I luv my UK Rugby League, 2nd best comp in the world behind the SANFL IMHO. (but I'm a rarity
