I know it was only a one off but a bit sad a ‘Div 12 ressies ‘state of origin’ can get over 5000 in pouring rain and a storm yet sanfl games can barely get over 3k

Not great times and a sign of where the young ones are at.

Over 5400 people were according to one of the Marmalade guys posts on Instagram, plus how ever many watched the live stream on YouTube like I did, it looked like great fun with all their fellow social media mates, ex AFL/SANFL players, cricketers, etc. being involved. Their brand/following and these kinds of events they put on (the third game like this after Lockleys v PAOC and then Lockleys v Elizabeth last year) continues to get bigger and bigger.

Point the finger at clubs (yours being one of them) not the league as a whole. And as you said , it was a “one off”…

10000+ attending SANFL games this weekend vs a bunch of nuffy interweb wankers

I’m OK where the SANFL is at

2.10 used to be the traditional timeslot until a few years ago, now it can be between 1.00 an 2.30 for no particular reason

2.20 was the traitional start time many many moons ago

That’s the final 5 set, more than likely the top 3 & Sturt the minor Premiership.

Next round Sturt @ Glenelg. If the Bays win then the contest is still open.
