I'm a big fan of state footy, but I can't possibly think of a way this match could be rendered more pointless. Who do they expect to watch?

The SANFL Football commission is dead-set on destroying the competition.

We all need to exert pressure on our club leaders to force the commission to be disbanded.
Then build a new group with people who care about the SANFL.

I will be sending some challenging emails to commission members this week.
Any one else feel this way?

I think most of us feel this way but the SANFL are puppets to the wants and needs of the AFL, who don't care about this nor the feeder leagues. Throwing this set of leaders out and replacing them won't fix anything unfortunately.

AFL talent scouts, of course. How better to cater to our AFL overlords than to have the cream of both leagues strutting their stuff in an AFL venue?

And lets be honest if it wasn't a curtain raiser in front of the AFL's eyes how many of the players would have niggling injuries preventing them from playing.

As sad for us die hards as it is the players want these games played at the biggest venues, they want these games played with their best chance to impress infront of the right people.

Sadly, there are no more Garry McIntosh 'F the AFL' types anymore.
